With the greatest care you reshoulder your pack and start gingerly clambering up the scree. It is tough going as your feet dislodge rocks as you go.
The Goat looks at you menacingly
Halfway up you stop, panting for breath and wipe the sweat from your brow.
You look at the Goat.
He looks back and shows you his horns. He starts to stamp his feet. You sense that if you climb higher he will charge down the scree and with one headbutt send you off into space. You have no option but to return to the ledge and consider the cave as your only escape
